SPRING STEAM SPECTACULAR GALA: After a stubborn patch of cloud finally moved away the countryside was bathed in lovely late spring sunshine. Perfect for this train, the 16.15 Minehead to Bishops Lydeard (late running, like all of the other trains today) and caught between Stogumber and the Leigh Lane bridge at 18.25. Double headed by two of the visiting engines - "Saint" no. 2999 "Lady of Legend" and GWR "Large Prairie" no. 5199. It was a delightful sight and worth recording on video, which I duly did. But unfortunately the video ended abruptly, thanks to operator error! A new remote for the phone was accidently activated whilst in my pocket - annoying! But still worth sharing with you I think:
