1S59 northbound "The Clansman"! The driver looks back, waiting for the "right-away" signal from the guard, on the 09.30 London Euston to Inverness. Class 87 no. 87012 "Coeur de Lyon" is painted in the very new BR Inter City Mainline livery - I have a feeling that it had not long been out in these colours and I remember being quite pleased to see it. No. 87012 is now in a very different place to the West Coast Main Line, operating freight trains for Bulgarian operator BZK!
