The grand frontage of the famous Flinders Street station. Opened in 1854 the station serves all of the suburban train services as well as some of the country services to eastern Victoria. Named after Matthew Flinders, who was an English navigator and cartographer. Interestingly his grave was unearthed during excavations in London for the building of the new HS2 terminus at Euston.
