The DB Class 140 was a huge class of locomotive on DB, with 879 built between 1959 and 1973! That's quite a long production run by any standard! Replaced by newer Class 145, 185 and 189 electric locomotives I believe that the last examples were withdrawn by 2016. Seen stabled is no. 140 825, wearing the earlier green livery.
