I liked the way the turquoise of the house on the left picked up on the colours of the DRS livery in this shot.
In connection with the Long Rock Open Day Pathfinder Tours ran a tour from the Midlands to Penzance. Quite remarkably the train featured a 25kV electro-diesel, Class 88 no. 88003 "Genesis", ably supported by pure-diesel Class 68 no. 68034. Here the pair arrive in to Penzance, approaching the level crossing at Long Rock at 12.58, with 1Z60 04.45 Tame Bridge Parkway to Penzance, the "Springtime Cornishman" tour.
I should point out that if it was not for the strong fence that I was relying on for stability here I would have been blown away by the wind, it being especially exposed at this location as a fierce south-easterly was forcing its way inland off the beach!
