(1) This was an unexpected bonus for me as having been watching the progress of the train on Real Time Trains I was expecting this train to be recessed in Beattock Loop for quite a while. As it happened, it was released earlier so I hung around to see what was on this northbound Network Rail infrastructure train.
What a surprise then to find GBRf 66723 (ZA723) "Chinook" hauling the train with Freightliner Class 66 no. 66526 "Driver Steve Dunn (George)" tucked inside for the ride. Here it is at 14.12 making slow and steady progress on the 6S50 12.16 Carlisle N. Y. to Millerhill S. S. service, comprising empty point carriers and ballast hoppers (out of sight further down the train).
