The pale winter's light illuminates Craven Arms signal box, located by a level crossing north of the station, in this view looking south. During the 1990s I was just as happy to take photos of signal boxes and railway infrastructure as I was of trains, and I am glad I did. So much has since disappeared.
Interestingly, I understand that this signal box was replaced in 2000 due to its deterioration. It was replaced by a modern structure that was built around the original building, which was subsequently removed from the inside!
