Class 37 no. 37102 is stabled in a bay at the station, along with 47544 and 31415. The '37 will have been employed on the Cambridge passenger service, at the time entrusted to these locos, complete with steam heated coaching stock.

37102 was rebuilt in 1988 to become heavy-weight Class 37 no. 37712. Seemingly it had a future with West Coast Railways, but suffered a serious fire and has been in store at Carnforth for many years.
