The only electrically-powered train seen during the visit, and a special one for me, my first sighting of a new DRS Class 88. This is 88004 "Pandora", in charge of the Tesco/Stobart Rail intermodal service, 4S43 06.16 Daventry DRS to Mossend Euroterminal. It's actually only the second day of revenue service for the class, 88003 operating this train the previous day for the first time. I have photographed this train a number of times over the years, and with such motive power variety. This is the new order, so the 88s should settle in, for now. In the background the junction for the line to Law Junction can be seen leading in from the right, as the train approaches, with the line to the left curving away towards Shotts.
