Dyce, Aberdeenshire

The signal box drew me here in initially, towering as it does over the railway. The line went down from double to single track here, but more recently the capacity has been increased and double track extended. For a west country boy like me the route "over the top" was always a long way from home, and it seemed like time stood still long after the rest of the network was modernised.
