Dyce Signal Box opened in 1880. Originally having 46 levers, latterly this was reduced to 26. The semaphores were removed in 2007 when colour lights replaced them and an NX panel was installed. Route upgrades more recently saw the double track extended from Aberdeen all the way to Inverurie and the box was made redundant. Sadly it was demolished in October 2019.

This was an attractive signal box and it was one that I really wanted to see. I can't believe that it's all gone now. In happier time this was the view looking south towards Aberdeen.
