Cockwood Harbour, Devon
This is a lovely spot, although the view has been marred in recent years by a low, but annoying fence along the lineside. When the tide is in the view is delightful, with small boats creating some colourful foreground interest. You have to watch your back here, though, especially in summer, as the road to Dawlish Warren is a popular short cut for holiday makers, and is narrow as it skirts around the harbour wall. Good views can be had, too, from the Anchor Inn, a very pleasant spot to sip your beer and watch the trains pass by!
