The tide is way out and there is an expanse of mud in place of water. Not so attractive. Fortunately, brightening up the scene, along comes Colas Rail Freight Class 56 no. 56094, crossing the embankment at 15.39 with the 6Z53 14.54 Teigngrace to Chirk Kronospan loaded timber train.
Timber trains seem to have ceased running for now, first being cut back to Exeter Riverside and then stopping altogether, but with so much standing wood now maturing around Devon and Somerset who can say if this is the last we will see of these trains?
