Chartham, Kent
I stumbled across this station, and the one at Wye, whilst heading for the Channel Tunnel. It's a little oasis of almost traditional railway, mixed with the most modern trains on the network. The signal box here, built in 1888, was downgraded to a crossing box when the line was re-signalled in 2003. Despite this the gates are still manually operated, the crossing keeper using the box for shelter!
