(1) The HOBC has been a common theme for my photography this past week, first at Cogload, followed by Bradford-on-Tone, and now here, standing on the curiously-named Black Smock Bridge at Oathe. Having spent the night north of Oxford the HOBC is now returning to base, passing here at 12.50, some 132 minutes ahead of schedule! Freightliner "Powerhaul" 66414 is leading, and 66596 is trailing, with 6Y11 07.37 Wolvercote Junction to Fairwater Yard. It's a warm, but blustery day and a battle with the clouds!
