As a child taking summer holidays with my grandparents, Burnham station will always bring back happy memories for me. Hours were spent here trainspotting with my brother. And the half-hourly DMU service formed the backbone of the local commuter service. They shuttled in and out all day in both directions and provided a regular time check for us. So often we would say "we'll wait for the next up train before going back home" knowing that this would give us another half hour of fun! Set L421, with DMS no.
