An early evening view (16.55) across the sands over the River Kent, and the 7K73 15.35 Sellafield to Crewe Basford Hall trundles across the Kent Viaduct with a load of 4 nuclear flasks, for onward journeys south. Four DRS Class 20s are on the front, 20312, 20311, 20315 and 20308, a remarkable sight for a southerner like me!
This is what I had come up to see, classic traction on interesting trains, all set against a spectacular landscape. I just love that amazing sky, and the Velvia 50 film certainly helps to convey the richness of colour, although I personally feel the image is a little too dark. But, hey, I'm no professional and I was having a great time!
