Long distance freight, UK-style! Now long-gone, the 6S55 Wednesdays-only 09.35 Burngullow to Irvine China clay slurry freight was a regular feature in the westcountry for 20 years or so. Once the realm of double-headed Laira-based Class 37s, then Brush Class 60s, the train's final years was in the hands of the erstwhile Class 66. Today, at 11.25, EWS Class 66 no. 66015 takes the train through the fast lines. The bogie tank wagons are not exactly as they once were, when the train was referred to as the "Silver Bullet"!
