Sitting under the train shed roof is Class 411/5, or 4CEP, no. 1524, ready to work a train to London Victoria. I love those signs, including one indicating the way to the Jetfoil service! This was operated by Royal Belgian Marine on a service between here and Ostende, using two Boeing Jetfoil boats, a service that reduced the journey from 4 hours to just 100 minutes! The service switched from Dover to Ramsgate in 1993, and closed completely four years later.
