11th June 2011 - West Somerset Railway
Mixed Traffic Gala 2011: Celebrating 25 years since the introduction by Foster Yeoman of the Class 59 onto Britain's rails, the gala included 4 different members of the fleet, representing the current operators.

Arriving at Stogumber here, at 10.31, is 59001 "Yeoman Endeavour" and 59102 "Village of Mells" with the 10.00 Bishops Lydeard to Minehead train.

The Foster Yeoman livery of 59001 has been replaced by new owner Aggregate Industries' own colours, and former ARC 59103 wears Hansons' scheme.

A nice touch was a set of Nathan Industries, Inc. airhorns mounted of the front of 59001. Their mournful chime echoed all around the Quantocks during the weekend, adding a very distinctive if not unfamiliar sound to the surroundings!
