Tucumcari, NM

For a fan of the Rock Island and the Southern Pacific, Tucumcari holds something of a big appeal to me, as this is where the two railroads met and exchanged traffic. But of course, toady it's all part of the Union pacific empire. Tucumcari was created by the Rock Island, first called Ragtown but then, more sinisterly, Six Shooter Siding: it was a rough old place to be at the turn of the 20th century!
