Class 156 no. 156475 had arrived at Todmorden at 15.00 on a train from Manchester Victoria, but due to engineering works at Horsefall Tunnel the service terminated and the unit had to run out of the station to switch over to the other line. Here it is seen crossing the viaduct north of the station as it returns, ready to form a service back to Manchester.
