This First Capital Connect services includes the Class 319 pioneer no. 319001, along with no. 319427. At 16.54 they approach on the 16.09 London St. Pancras to Gatwick Airport & Brighton. Another Class 319 pair (nos. 319442 & 319373) head away towards Horley with the 16.53 Gatwick Airport to London St. Pancras service.
No. 319001 will probably detach at Gatwick and head on to Brighton. This unit has now been converted into a test-bed Class 799 bi-mode unit, running on hydrogen as well as 25kV AC and 750v DC.
