(1) Looking south from the station footbridge, Class 56 no. 56056 is approaching with power applied as it hauls a rake of 4-wheel ARC hopper wagons. I can here it now! Despite the train being empty there is a reasonable climb up to Upton Scudamore. The sign on the left instructs trains being assisted from Westbury to stop, in order to detach the banker.
