I just love signal boxes so cannot resist including this one in the gallery. When the Southern resignalling scheme on this line took place in 1938 this new Art Deco "Odeon" style signal box was opened (15th May 1938). It originally contained a Westinghouse 44-lever mechanical frame. It's a great example of the style promoted by the Southern railway.
