Edale Daisy: Class 101 Metro Cammell unit no. 101685 is seen here in 2-car formation, working a Manchester to Sheffield service in the evening at 18.35. Formed from car nos. 53160 and 53164 this unit became a bit of a celebrity and was informally known as "Daisy", after the Revd. Awdry character in his Thomas the Tank Engine stories. Withdrawn in December 2003 the unit was saved and entered preservation.
