This railtour, operated by the Railway Touring Company, was the 1Z96 08.45 London Waterloo to Weymouth, The Dorset Coast Express", originally booked for King Arthur 4-6-0 no. 30777 "Sir Lamiel" and A4 no. 60019 "Bittern". However "Bittern" was not available and was substituted on the return journey by West Coast Railway Class 37 no. 37516. At 11.36 "Sir Lamiel" slows in readiness to stop at Northam Yard for water.
