"Meep-meep" - yes, this is the Greater Roadrunner, a fairly common ground-dwelling bird around these parts, lurking in the undergrowth and eying me up suspiciously. He'll be looking for lizards and small mammals for a meal. And keeping well out of the way of coyotes!
