4th July 2007 - Greenhill Lower Junction, Falkirk
At 12.22 EWS Class 66 no. 66048 takes the line to Coatbridge with a Longannet to Hunterston empty coal train comprising 4-wheeled HAA hoppers. The lines to the right lead to Greenhill Upper Junction and onto the main line to Glasgow Queen Street.

66048 was an unlucky engine, being wrecked on its first outing for DB Schenker on day one of the contract for the Stobart Rail "Tesco Express" intermodal service. Frozen brake pipes caused the train to run away at Carr Bridge and the train derailed. 66048's remains still exist (2019) but I doubt it'll ever run again.
