I must have liked Thorpe Culvert signal box, as I photographed it from all angles! Given the lack of trains there was little else to do, but its location in a remote part of Lincolnshire (are there any other parts?) was quite appealing, even in these sub-zero temperatures. Traditional railway operation all around, manual gates, semaphores and a very attractive Great Northern Railway wooden signal box. There were even some Great Northern Railway cast iron notices to complete the scene.
