The famous Southern Pacific sugar beet train still attracted pure SP engine lash-ups long after the merger, until the trains ceased I believe. Today the train is operated by 6 of the last units bought by the SP, the AC4400CW model from GE. On the front is nos. 144, 281, 171 and 121. The trailing helpers were nos. 139 and 188. The train is descending the loop at 18.07, although it stopped in Walong Siding to effect a crew change and to give attention required for some mechanical defect on board.
