A pair of Northern Class 153 single-car units, no’s. 153351 & 153317, form the 2C38 15.13 Carlisle to Barrow-in-Furness train, approaching the station at 16.01. This picture perfectly illustrates the lovely afternoon sun light that can be a feature of this line.

The large building in the background is the base of local firm Forth Engineering.
