In the 21st century it is still possible to find some remarkable survivors of a different era, let alone century! This corrugated iron lamp hut still seems to be performing a useful function, standing as it is behind a buffer stop on the up side, close to the up platform. Given that semaphores are still in use at this location I wonder if it still functions as originally intended, as a store for signal lamps and fuel?
