Comprising 32 platforms this terminus is an amalgamation of three separate stations: Holzkirchner station (platforms 5-10), Hauptbahnhof (platforms 11-16) and Starnberger Bahnhof (platforms 27-36). In total 450,000 passengers use this station, making it one of Germany's busiest.
