Kenley, London Borough of Croydon
The station at Kenley is 16 miles out of London Bridge station, on the line to Caterham. Opened in 1856 the station was initially named Coulsdon, but was quickly renamed Kenley. On platform 2 the very distinctive station building is Grade II listed and described as being built in the Old English style of Domestic Architecture. The roof has a remarkable pitch, akin to the Swiss Cottage style, and some! Today the station is served with a two-trains-an-hour frequency, operated by Southern.
