Exeter St. Davids

Exeter St. Davids. My local train spotting station. From the late '70s until well into the 1980s I, and my friends, would head down to Exeter on the earliest train we could and spend most, if not all, of the day hanging about at the county end of platform 5, invariably sat on a barrow, or in a Brute cage. Most of the time we behaved, occasionally we did not, and would been summarily dealt with by the station staff, but we always had fun, were always tolerated. And we saw plenty of trains. Lots of trains, especially on a summer Saturday. I have such fond memories of these times and some of these early images will bring it all back.
