Train no. 7/27, the "Empire Builder", rounds the curve into the station at 09.55, where it will stop for just 5 minutes before heading over the Columbia River and on to Portland. A single Amtrak P42DC unit, no. 173, is entrusted with the train, which is around half an hour behind schedule.
