(1) A bit of drama on this, my first visit to the station. A derailment south of the station just two days prior resulted in 4000 sleepers being destroyed, so replacement and repair work was in hand. One of the engineers trains is seen here on one of the through roads, with "Dutch"-liveried Class 31/1 no. 31147 "Floreat Salopia" standing with a rake of open wagons, with the driver and guard discussing the next move. Shortly a Class 37 will arrive and couple up to the other end...
