(1) Calling in at Ostend station in the evening on a visit to Belgium with a friend we find three locomotives stabled so I had a crack at some long-exposure shots, which I think came out quite well. First up is NMBS/SNCB Class 16 no. 1601, one of 8 in the class, wearing an advertising livery for Marklin model railways. The Class 16 was withdrawn by 2007, after being ousted on workings to Germany, the Netherlands and France by newer Thalys EMUs. Two were preserved, but not sure if this was one of them.
