Hullabaloo at Topsham! (1) - I had to go out and catch this train, even if the weather was far from helpful. Loco-hauled trains, in daylight, on the Exmouth branch are as rare as it gets, and when there are three Class 37s on offer the incentive is high.
This is the Pathfinder Tours "Hullaba-Looe" railtour, and as the name suggest it will also head for Cornwall for the Looe branch. What a crazy itinerary! DRS provided the traction and here Class 37s nos. 37609 and 37218 pass through Topsham at 11.39 on the 1Z92 09.51 Bristol Temple Meads to Liskeard, via Exmouth (!) on their way to the terminus at Exmouth. Out of sight is no. 37608 on the other end.
First Great Western's Class 143 no. 143611 is heading for Paignton.
